The hosts were really great. Friendly, helpful, giving a lot of hints and tips about where to go, what to do. Meal was simple but great!!!

I would have expected a little bit higher standard for the room. It was clean and tidy, comfortable but a bit old.

Lovely hosts who will do everything to make you feel at home. Nice hotel with comfortable, clean, as-good-as-new rooms.

Location is between Gruyères and Bulle with trains running only once an hour, but only a short ride by bicycle or car.

The view from the patio was gorgeous. You could see Gruyere from out patio. The food and resturant at the hotel were lovely. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Plus, the owner of the hotel went out of his way to make sure that our family was comfortable.

It was in a good location for where we were heading the next day and close to town.

The owner is an extremely nice and helpful man. He turned our hotel stay into almost a family affair with his friendliness and helpfulness. The evening meal and homemade breakfast were excellent. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area and has a lovely terrace/garden. Many of the rooms have balconies.

Small hotel, the man who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good, we were very happy with our stay. Location was very nice, beautiful view of the mountains.

The Cheese Fondue is just with bread so it is not very good as you quickly get fed up with eating just melted cheese

The hotel staff is very attentive and polite.

Beds are very uncomfortable, narrow, short and squik.

The hotel was very easy to find from the train ,about a 2-3 min walk and the surroundings were beautiful. The staff were very welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. After staying in Geneva the night before it was very different! We were shown to our room which had a beautiful view of the mountains. We ate at the hotel on the second night and the fondue was the best we tasted while in Switzerland. It was lovely and clean and quiet, and I'd certainly recommend it too anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday.

The couple that owns this bed and breakfast are amazing! They are so sweet and helpful! It's such a cozy place you really feel like you are at home and you can experience what life could be like there. They helped give me directions on how to get to the Castle in Gruyere which is a short 45 min walk or 5 min train ride. I went to spend the day in the village at Gruyere and then came back to cozy Le Castel en Gruyere and had dinner there. They owners put candles on every table and flowers, it was so sweet! The food was delicious and the fireplace in the dining room was nice. I had to catch a 6:30am train then next morning and the owners were so helpful, they woke up early the next morning to make my breakfast and have it ready by 5:15am so I could eat breakfast before I left! It was so nice of them! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone!

View of the mountains from all the rooms. Free parking right behind the hotel. Safe, quiet area. Nice, central point for touring the whole area.
